Hello!

I joined Red Door Analytics as an Associate Biostatistician in May 2023. I am originally from Madrid, Spain. But I spent the 5 years prior to coming to Sweden in New York, United States. There I studied a BSc. in Biology and a BSc. in Mathematics at St. Francis College while pursuing a life-long dream of competing at the highest collegiate level in the sport I have been playing for all my life, water polo.

During my undergraduate years, I had the opportunity to work as an intern at the Instituto de Salud Carlos III in Madrid, where I worked on studies regarding the genetic susceptibility of prostate cancer. During my time at the Institute, I understood that I wanted to work in population health and that epidemiology and biostatistics could potentially be the best way to mix biology and math together.

After completing my undergraduate degrees, I enrolled and finished a M.S. in Epidemiology, where I started meeting people with the same professional interests as I have, furthered my knowledge in certain health areas, and got to dive deeper into what I enjoyed most about population health: statistics and programming. I took my first steps with R, but what I have the most knowledge of is SAS.

But, after 5 long years and after completing the Master’s degree, I felt like it was time to go back home, or, at least, the closest I could. Now I am starting as an Associate Biostatistician at RDA, and I am very excited to start this new chapter in my life.
