Do you sometimes find yourself searching for a quick description of a new concept? Those one or two sentences that summarise the most important bits of information. Maybe in the field of statistics? Well, look no further: just in time for spring, we give you…
Red Door Analytics’ Statistical Primers
In these Statistical Primers, we will walk you through some concepts that you are likely to encounter in statistical analyses, with a bias (more on that word in our soon-to-come glossary 🤫) towards all things survival analysis – which is also a primer itself.

So far, the following topics are live on the website: survival analysis, the proportional hazards assumption, censoring, the Cox model, and immortal time bias. But there is much more to come, so make sure to keep an eye out (and subscribe to our blog).
Why primer? Actually, outside the world of face creams and wall paint, a primer [noun] is a “small introductory book on a subject”, and the word originates from the mediaeval Latin words primarius liber (primary book).
