Biostatistics & Epidemiology Summer School returns!

I’m delighted to say that the Summer School on Modern Methods in Biostatistics and Epidemiology is returning to the picturesque CastelBrando with a huge range of courses in June 2023! Join me in Treviso, Italy, where I will be back teaching our week long (half days) course on Joint modelling of longitudinal and survival data, running from the 5th to the 10th June 2023.

This week-long course will provide an introduction to joint modelling through real applications to both clinical trial data and electronic health records, using examples in cancer, liver cirrhosis and cardiovascular disease. We will take a look at the methodological framework, underlying assumptions, estimation, model building and predictions. We will also consider current developments in the field, looking at some of the many extensions of joint models, such as the ability to model multiple biomarkers and competing risks. The course will consist of lectures and computing exercises making use of the stjm and merlin packages in Stata, written by yours truly.
